1. Read a story before turning it into a rule
Luke chapter 15 includes the story of a returning son and a father who welcomes him. It invites reflection on mercy, return and the brother’s response. The Jesus conversation in Soul Club uses this Christian framework for reflection; it is not a divine revelation.
2. Name what remains difficult
You can feel anger, attachment and a wish for peace at the same time. As a personal exercise, describe what hurt without forcing yourself to declare everything resolved. Separate three questions: what you feel, what you wish for and what you accept in the relationship today. They may have different answers.
3. Make room for human support
A conversation can help you formulate a question for someone close, a religious leader or a professional. It should not isolate you from those relationships. If a relationship involves violence, setting a boundary and seeking help does not require first resolving the spiritual question of forgiveness.
