03 / Your business and taxes

What you earn. What you can do with it.

How much to pay yourself, what to keep in your business and which deadlines to prepare for? Connect your personal needs with business decisions, then explore your tax questions.

Your business. Your money. Your choices.

Three things to put in perspective with Rafael.

  1. What you earn

Your income, your costs and what remains in your business.

  2. What you keep

Commitments, a buffer and what you want to reinvest.

  3. What you pay yourself

Your personal needs and ways of paying yourself.

What you can clarify with Rafael

Should I stay self-employed or set up a company?

Higher turnover alone doesn’t decide the structure. What matters also includes your profit, what you need to live on and how much you want to reinvest.

What is worth comparing
  • Profit after expenses
  • Money you need to take out
  • Administration and social contributions

Another structure.
But does it serve your goal?

An LLC is a legal form. A holding company describes an ownership role. The two are not necessarily alternatives.

Consider the entity, its owner and the actual business activity together. The bank account is another part of the picture, with its own facts to establish.

Owing no particular tax does not automatically mean there are no returns to file.

A different country.
What would change for you?

Panama, the Cayman Islands, Turkey or Paraguay. Whether you are exploring an account, a company or a new place to live, start with your goal and your current obligations in Spain, Colombia or your country of residence.

The label ‘tax haven’ only tells part of the story. Each destination raises different questions about residence, business activity and obligations to check.

What should I know before exploring an account in Panama?

Start with who would own the account, where the funds come from and the bank’s requirements. Then review the obligations you retain in your country of residence.

What should I understand before considering a structure there?

Define its purpose, who would own it and what it would do. Compare costs, documentation and obligations across the jurisdictions involved.

Turkey

What changes if I want to live or start a business in Turkey?

Separate permission to reside, permission to work and your tax position. Having the right to live there does not, by itself, determine where or how you are taxed.

Paraguay

What should I review before moving to Paraguay?

The immigration route is one part. Your dates, where you will work and the obligations to check when leaving one country and arriving in another also matter.

04 / The bigger picture

The right question
changes the conversation.

Your income, personal life and plans are connected. Rafael starts with your experience to help clarify one priority at a time.

Illustrative example.
Not a recording or a client case study.

You

My business brings in money, but I never know how much I can pay myself and how much to keep aside.

Rafael

We can start by separating what your business needs from what you need to live on. Is your income regular or does it change each month?

You

It changes a lot. And I’m saving for a project too.

Rafael

All right. How much do you need to cover an ordinary month? Then we can look at upcoming commitments and where your project fits.

Your personal needs, your business money and your plans: three things to look at together.

05 / Your first conversation

Bring a question.
Start with five minutes.

One specific decision is a good place to start. A complex situation needs more time and further checks.

  1. Describe your situation

A budget question, a goal, a debt or a tax decision. Start in your own words, with approximate figures.

  2. Clarify one priority

Rafael helps distinguish what you already know, what is missing and which options to compare.

  3. Prepare a first step

A fact to gather, a deadline to review or a question to check before deciding.

Before you start

Your questions.
Let’s talk them through.

From organizing your money to tax questions: here is how to get started.

Terms and privacy
How can Rafael help you with your money?

Rafael is Soul Club’s virtual money and tax coach. Explore budgeting, savings, debt, income, goals, companies and taxes by voice. He helps organize questions and compare options, without connecting your bank, executing investments or filing returns.

Can I start with a simple budget question?

Yes. You do not need a company or substantial wealth. Start with spending, savings, debts or changing income.

Do I need my figures ready?

No. Start with a question and approximate amounts. Rafael can help identify what to gather. He uses what you share, without connecting your bank account.

Can we talk about investing?

You can explore your goals, timeframe, risks and fees. Rafael does not execute investments or guarantee returns. Decisions requiring regulated advice should be checked with a qualified professional.

What if I have a company or several countries involved?

You can also explore remuneration, structures, tax residence, accounts and cryptoassets. The analysis depends on your situation, the countries and the relevant tax year.

Does Rafael file my returns?

No. He helps you understand and prepare questions. He does not file returns, check legislation live or replace your professional adviser.

What is saved from my conversation?

Transcription and memory are explained at signup and subject to your consent. Review memory settings and the privacy policy before sharing sensitive information.

How does the trial work?

Available time and conditions are shown when you start. For an eligible new account, five minutes with your chosen companion allow an introductory conversation, not a complete financial plan. Signup does not activate a subscription.

Tax questions in detail

How much should I be earning before considering a company?

There is no turnover threshold that fits everyone. Rafael can help compare profit, money you need to withdraw, reinvestment, social contributions and administration costs. The rules for the relevant country and tax year then need checking.

Does an LLC mean I stop paying tax where I live?

Opening an LLC does not, by itself, remove your obligations as its owner. Your residence, business activity, entity classification and the rules in each country need examining. Owing no particular tax does not automatically mean there are no returns to file.

Could a holding company help if I only have one business?

The number of companies alone doesn’t answer that. Define what you want to organise, which shares would be held and what transactions you expect. Rafael helps frame the comparison without assuming that a more complex structure is better.

Can I ask about Panama, Paraguay or Dubai?

Yes. You can explore an account, a company or a move abroad. These are separate decisions: bank acceptance, immigration permission and tax residence each have their own requirements. Rafael helps separate the questions and the points to verify.

What if I hold cryptoassets or overseas accounts?

You can discuss custody, transactions, income and obligations to check. Not converting to traditional currency, or holding an account abroad, does not settle the tax question. Do not share private keys, account numbers or recovery phrases.
